Perfect Dimensions for a Facebook Profile Picture

Designing a Facebook Profile Picture with Correct Dimensions

The Facebook Help Centre provides ideal dimensions to optimise visuals in pages.

Facebook Page Profile Picture Size

A profile picture needs to be uploaded with at least 180 pixels squared to appear properly on all devices.

There are easy ways to achieve this through image editing sites like Canva, or professional graphics programs like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Facebook says the pictures will appear as 160 pixels squared on personal computers, 140 pixels squared on smart phones and 50 pixels squared on “feature phones.”

Content creators only need to focus on the 180 px by 180 px when making the pictures.

That is the easiest way to ensure compatibility for a Facebook profile picture. Easy!
